Buying Guide – Igloo Cooler Reviews
A good cooler should be well-built to withstand the harsh outdoors. As a result, most new hard coolers come with rotomolded construction. However, roto molded coolers are expensive as well.
Igloo has some rotomolded coolers. At the same time, they also have solidly built coolers that are not rotomolded – their soft coolers, which have a robust build.
In general, the ice life of Igloo coolers is top-notch. Most of their coolers can keep ice for up to 5 to 7 days. However, you know that the actual ice retention depends on a lot of factors.
Because of that, it is better to check the feedback of previous buyers whenever you are buying a new cooler.
Features and Accessories
A good cooler for camping would come with various helpful features. These features are not compulsory, yet can make a huge difference when available.
For example, they should have integrated bottle openers, freezer-grade gaskets, roto molded construction, cup holders, rubber latches, stainless steel hinges, comfortable carrying handles, thick insulations, lockable lid, anti-skid feet, dry ice compatibility, and more.
Compared to popular brands like Yeti, Igloo is actually offering their coolers at a very cheap price. Of course, they do have some high-priced coolers, but those are definitely worth the money spent as they come with premium helpful features and rugged build.
Are Igloo Coolers Any Good?
Frankly, Igloo coolers are great. They come with premium features and heavy-duty build. The company has a rich and long history of making camping coolers of premium quality.
Right now, they have a very large collection of coolers in terms of size, types, and quality.
Besides, Igloo coolers are not that pricey. So, you can say that Igloo coolers can be a good option for overlanding or camping.
Is Igloo As Good As Yeti?
Undeniably, Igloo coolers are great in terms of price to performance ratio. However, they fall behind Yeti in many aspects. YETI Cooler has a lot of color variations.
They also offer coolers in many sizes and shapes, and their warranty policy is also better than Igloo’s.
However, Igloo has a few unique coolers that are not available to Yeti, alongside some of the best affordable coolers.
So, if you are looking for value for money, then Igloo coolers can be as good as YETI or better. But remember, Yeti Cooler is regarded as the benchmark when it comes to comparing multiple cooler brands.
Who Makes The Best Cooler For The Money?
We wish we could provide a straightforward answer to this. Unfortunately, it is very hard to name a brand that is the best cooler for the money, because there are abundant options when it comes to coolers.
How Long Will An Igloo Cooler Stay Cold?
Under favorable conditions, most Igloo hard coolers can retain ice for up to 5 days. Whereas the Igloo soft coolers can hold ice for up to 3 days. Conversely, the duration can change based on many external/internal factors.
